Ottolenghi Edinburgh marks an exciting new chapter for us, our first restaurant in Scotland. Opening in autumn 2026, this will be a vibrant, busy restaurant with a genuine commitment to fresh, seasonal produce and sustainability at its heart.
What you’ll do
- Lead and take full ownership of your designated kitchen section.
- Produce dishes to the highest standard of quality and consistency, in line with Ottolenghi recipes and guidelines.
- Mentor, train, and support junior chefs and apprentices within your team.
- Ensure all food safety and hygiene standards are rigorously maintained.
- Manage stock within your section, including ordering, rotation, and minimising waste.
- Assist the Sous Chef and Head Chef with kitchen operations and daily briefings.
- Contribute to menu development, specials, and creative food initiatives.
- Support the smooth running of service and step up when needed.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organised workspace at all times.
What we’re looking for
- 2+ years of experience as a Chef de Partie or in a similar role within a quality kitchen environment.
- Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, allergen awareness, and food safety regulations.
- A genuine passion for food and an eagerness to grow and develop.

- Excellent cookery skills with strong attention to detail and presentation.
- Ability to work at pace and maintain standards under pressure.
- A natural team player who leads by example.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Well-organised with excellent attention to detail.
