We are dedicated to creating a supportive learning environment for our team, and are looking for a passionate Hospitality Training and Development Manager to lead our training and development initiatives across our 9 venues and Ottolenghi HQ while promoting positive hospitality-focused practices.

This role is site-based for at least 50% of the time, including some evenings and weekends, with regular travel between our 9 venues and Ottolenghi HQ. Occasional international travel may also be required.

Role Overview:

In this pivotal role, you will manage and oversee a "best in class" guest experience across Ottolenghi, working closely with our Front of House and Back of House teams. You will design, implement, and sustain training programs that reflect our standards and values.

The ideal Training & Development Manager at Ottolenghi will be:

  • Training and onboard FOH and BOH staff, emphasising hospitality skills and service excellence
  • Defining and maintaining Ottolenghi’s standards, using feedback from guests and customers
  • Delivering training sessions on service standards, management practices and support external professional development
  • Spending time on-site working with teams to mentor and develop them

The ideal Training & Development Manager at Ottolenghi will have:

  • Proven experience in hospitality training with a hands-on, flexible approach
  • An understanding of the different facets of Ottolenghi service- sit down service at the delis and the restaurants with more formal service as well as retail and take-away
  • Willingness to work on-site, evenings, weekends, and travel as needed
  • A drive for talent development and succession planning
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to our company values
  • Patience and drive to manage a department that touches all facets of the business
