We’re looking for an experienced Baker to join Ottolenghi’s Central Production Unit and take a leading role in creating our high-quality baked goods. This is a hands-on position where you’ll manage production, mentor junior bakers, and help maintain the efficiency and excellence of our bakery.
What you’ll do:
- Lead the preparation and baking of a wide range of bakery products
- Ensure all products meet Ottolenghi’s recipes and quality standards
- Monitor baking processes, including mixing, proofing, baking, and cooling
- Conduct quality checks on ingredients and finished products
- Supervise, train, and mentor junior bakers and bakery assistants
- Assign tasks, oversee daily operations, and provide feedback to the team
- Manage inventory, coordinate ingredient orders, and minimise waste
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain a clean, organised workspace
What we’re looking for:
- Minimum of 1 years’ professional baking experience.
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Extensive knowledge of baking techniques and ingredients
- Creativity, attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Organised, flexible, and physically able to work in a busy, hot kitchen
Working hours:
- You will work 5 shifts per week within our 7-day operating schedule
