As we prepare to open our newest venue in Richmond, we’re looking for a passionate and driven Junior Sous Chef to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to step into a leadership role, support the Sous Chef and Head Chef, and contribute to a brand-new kitchen environment.

As a Junior Sous Chef at Ottolenghi Richmond, you will assist the Sous Chef and Head Chef in running the kitchen smoothly and ensuring the delivery of consistently high-quality dishes. You’ll be responsible for leading your section, helping to manage junior chefs, and maintaining the high standards Ottolenghi is known for.

The Ideal Junior Sous Chef will:

Support the Sous Chef and Head Chef in managing kitchen operations and running a smooth, efficient service
Take charge of your section, ensuring that dishes are prepared to the highest standard
Help train and mentor junior chefs
Contribute to menu development and seasonal specials, maintaining the Ottolenghi ethos of creativity and quality
Ensure high standards of food safety, hygiene, and kitchen cleanliness
Be a strong communicator, able to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced kitchen
Have a keen eye for detail and a passion for working with fresh, seasonal ingredients
