We’re looking for an experienced Packer Supervisor (Bagged & Jarred Products) to join Ottolenghi’s Central Production Unit and oversee the daily packing operation, ensuring products are packed efficiently, labelled accurately, and meet our quality and food safety standards. You will organise shifts, support and develop the packing team, maintain traceability records, and help ensure smooth fulfilment for our sites and webstore.


What you’ll do

· Lead, train and support a high-performing packing team, ensuring onboarding, training sign-off and clear working standards.

· Plan daily packing shifts from the production schedule, allocating people, lines and timelines to meet targets.

· Run start-of-shift briefings, assign tasks and monitor productivity, quality and workflow throughout the day.

· Ensure correct packaging, weights, presentation and labelling for all products.

· Verify label accuracy including product information, allergens, nutrition and batch codes.

· Check dispatch documentation and ensure products are correctly labelled and ready for delivery.

· Maintain strong food safety standards, allergen controls and clean-as-you-go practices.

· Stop production and quarantine any non-conforming product, escalating issues where needed.

· Maintain accurate packing logs, label records, cleaning schedules and traceability paperwork.

· Monitor stock levels of packaging materials and finished goods, reporting shortages or issues.

· Maintain packing equipment and support safe, correct use of labelling machines and tools.

· Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce waste while protecting quality.

What we’re looking for

· Supervisory experience in food production, bakery, manufacturing or packing environments

· Strong understanding of food safety, labelling control and traceability requirements

· Experience working with label printers, scales or check-weighing systems

· Food Safety Level 2 minimum (Level 3 desirable)

· HACCP and allergen awareness required

· Experience in SALSA or BRCGS environments is an advantage

Working hours

· 5 shifts per week within our 7-day production schedule
