Ottolenghi is well-known for it's loyal following and a reputation for offering exceptional Middle-Eastern and Mediterranean cuisine. Our venue in Spitalfields is looking for an experienced Shift Manager to join their warm and welcoming front of house team to guide our guests and colleagues on a joyful Ottolenghi experience from the
moment they arrive.
The role would suit a shift manager or supervisor who gets a thrill out of working in a vibrant restaurant and who can lead a team. Previous shift manager or supervisory experience is essential.
The ideal person will have a strong focus on managing the guest experience, be organised, well-spoken with a warm and welcoming manner and impeccable service standards.
The ideal Shift Manager at Ottolenghi Spitalfields will be:
- Working closely with the general manager, assistant general manager, and head chef to ensure quality of offering is of high standard and consistency
- Assist the waiters, shop assistants and hosts as needed – including taking payments, serving take away customers, contributing to cleaning and tidying of the venue
- Looking after our guests and manage their journey from their arrival until they leave
- Responding to guests' feedback with empathy and generosity, maintaining high standards of quality control, hygiene, health & safety and coordinating the service to ensure shop, floor and kitchen teams work in harmony
- Training and coaching new colleagues on Ottolenghi hospitality, service, cleanliness, and safety procedures
- Passionate about Ottolenghi products and have the ability to deliver strong leadership and customer service
