At Ottolenghi, we take pride in offering vibrant, high-quality dishes and exceptional hospitality in a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Our Spitalfields restaurant, part of the Ottolenghi group, is looking for a passionate and experienced Floor Manager to join our team on a full-time basis.
As a Floor Manager, you’ll play a key role in delivering joyful guest experiences while overseeing both the floor and shop operations, supporting and inspiring your team throughout each service.
What you’ll be doing
- Lead front-of-house operations during service, ensuring a smooth and consistent experience for guests and team members
- Oversee the shop alongside the floor, managing customer flow, orders, and team coordination
- Welcome guests and manage their journey from arrival to departure, always providing warm, thoughtful service
- Handle guest feedback with empathy and generosity, maintaining the highest standards of hospitality and professionalism
- Collaborate closely with the General Manager, Assistant General Manager, and Head Chef to uphold service and operational excellence
- Help train, support, and mentor new team members in Ottolenghi’s hospitality standards and service values
- Promote a harmonious environment by supporting coordination between the kitchen, floor, and shop teams
- Stay organised, proactive, and solution-focused in a dynamic and fast-paced setting

- Previous experience in a managerial role within hospitality, preferably in full-service or high-quality casual dining
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and support a diverse team
- Excellent communication and multitasking abilities
- A passion for exceptional guest experiences and attention to detail
- Calm, confident, and approachable in a fast-paced environment
