As we prepare to open our new venue in Richmond, we’re looking for an experienced Sous Chef to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a kitchen team, assist in menu development, and help establish the high standards Ottolenghi is known for in a brand-new location.

As a Sous Chef at Ottolenghi Richmond, you will support the Head Chef in running the kitchen efficiently, overseeing the preparation of seasonal, creative dishes, and helping to maintain the high standards of quality and consistency Ottolenghi is famous for. You’ll also be involved in menu development, team leadership, and the training of junior staff, all while maintaining a positive and collaborative work environment.

The ideal Sous Chef at Ottolenghi Richmond will be:

  • Able to support the Head Chef with all aspects of the kitchen
  • Assisting in menu development and recipe creation while ensuring that our high standards of quality and consistency are upheld
  • Excellent at leading and communicating, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
  • Knowledgeable of food safety and sanitation regulations
  • Enjoying cooking a la carte dishes as well as catering and takeaway orders
