Our Notting Hill deli holds a special place in the Ottolenghi story. It was our very first venue, opened 24 years ago, and it's still one of the most loved spots in the neighbourhood. Busy, beautiful and full of the food and energy Ottolenghi is known for, we're looking for a Shop Supervisor to help keep it that way.

Working alongside the Shop Shift Manager, you'll supervise the shop floor team and take ownership of daily operations during your shifts. You'll be a visible, hands-on presence, keeping standards high, supporting the team and making sure every customer has a great experience.

What you'll be doing

Train and support shop assistants, giving guidance and feedback to help them grow
Manage breaks effectively and support team wellbeing day to day
Oversee daily shift tasks including takeaway service, delivery platform orders and food plating
Ensure the deli is fully set up, maintained and clean throughout service
Keep the shop floor, deli counter and product displays looking the part at all times
Maintain consistency in standards, lighting, music and service flow throughout every shift
Work closely with colleagues to keep service flowing smoothly
Handle cash, opening and closing procedures and shift administration accurately and efficiently
Support the Shop Manager with reporting and operational planning
Make sure every customer receives a warm, knowledgeable and attentive experience
Handle queries and complaints professionally and lead customer recovery where needed
Follow all food safety, hygiene, health and safety and allergen procedures
