This is a dynamic role for someone who thrives in both worlds, leading the floor during service while overseeing the daily rhythm of the shop. You’ll make sure guests and retail customers alike experience the signature Ottolenghi warmth from the moment they walk in to the moment they leave

As a Shop & Shift Manager, you will:

  • Lead front-of-house operations during service, maintaining a smooth, joyful atmosphere for guests and team members
  • Oversee the retail side of the business, from visual presentation and product quality to exceptional customer interactions
  • Support colleagues across the floor, shop, and takeaway, stepping in where needed with calm, solution-driven energy
  • Welcome and host guests with genuine care, ensuring a seamless journey from table to till
  • Manage feedback with empathy, professionalism, and a touch of Ottolenghi generosity
  • Work closely with the General Manager, Assistant GM, and Head Chef to uphold standards across both shop and restaurant operations
  • Help train, mentor, and develop new team members in Ottolenghi’s hospitality and retail values
  • Keep an eye on detail, from daily prep and product displays to smooth shift handovers and stock control
  • Foster collaboration between kitchen, floor, and retail teams to create one united guest experience
