We are now looking for a passionate and experienced Assistant General Manager to join our vibrant and ambitious team in Chelsea. As an Assistant General Manager, you’ll play a key role in supporting the General Manager with the day-to-day running of the restaurant, leading by example on the floor, and ensuring every guest leaves with a memorable Ottolenghi experience. You’ll help nurture and develop the team while maintaining the highest standards of service, food, and operational excellence.

As an Assistant General Manager, you will:

  • Support the General Manager in the smooth day-to-day operation of the restaurant
  • Lead, motivate, and develop the front-of-house team to deliver outstanding service
  • Act as a visible leader on the floor, ensuring exceptional guest experiences at all times
  • Help manage rotas, staffing levels, and labour costs effectively
  • Maintain high standards of service, cleanliness, health & safety, and compliance
  • Handle guest feedback professionally and confidently
  • Work closely with the kitchen team to ensure seamless service
  • Support training, onboarding, and performance development of the team
  • Step up to run shifts and the business in the General Manager’s absence

  • Previous experience in a management or supervisory role within hospitality
  • A genuine passion for food, service, and people
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and engage a team
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • A hands-on, proactive approach with great attention to detail
  • Confidence working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends
